Live communication in sports: How do I convey Olympic enthusiasm to my own country?

The Olympic and Paralympic Games have not been held in Germany since 1972. In order to spark enthusiasm for the Olympic movement among the German population, the event must be communicated in Germany every two years. Team Germany shows how this works in the digital age for a mega-event lasting almost three weeks.

For Jens Behler, Paris 2024 was the seventh Olympic Games that he has covered for and with Team Germany. For ten years, he has held various roles for the German Olympic Sports Confederation and, since January 2022, he has been Head of Media & Communication at Deutsche Sport Marketing GmbH, which, among other things, is responsible for the German Houses at the Games, but also for the brand communication of Team Germany.
