About the persons/companies:
Dr. Meinhart is a strategic technology advisor to Greentank and a professor of Mechanical Engineering at UC-Santa Barbara. He earned his PhD and completed postdoctoral work at the University of Illinois in 1995. His research at UC-Santa Barbara since 1996 has centered on microfluidic devices and their transport mechanisms. A fellow of the American Physical Society, he has co-authored over 160 publications. In 2012, Dr. Meinhart founded Numerical Design, a leader in microfluidics and microfabrication, which developed microfluidic-based vaporizer chips. After its acquisition by Greentank in 2023, he now advises on the development of advanced heating chip technology.
Mark Forster serves as Principal Scientist in BAT’s Life Sciences team based at the R&D Campus in Southampton, UK. He leads the collation and compilation of scientific information on BAT’s non-combustibles products for internal and external stakeholders. Mark has been with BAT for 14 years, holding a variety of roles across science and innovation for BAT’s non-combustible products. He has a background in Chemistry, with a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry.
